How smug do I feel?
Twice today I have read and seen further evidence of my campaign that clearly shows that Britain is in the third world when it comes to technology and its internet access.
Fast broadband ROFL.
There was I watching the tv this lunchtime, good old John Craven on his weekly countryfile slot, low an behold a story about rural areas and the speed of broadband and the stifling effect of the slow connection speeds stopping small businesses moving to and setting up in rural areas.
I then pick up PC Pro magazine and an article about slow connection feeds, I have to say I had to giggle to myself with the article entitles "21st CN" the 21st Century Nightmare. Basically saying what I have been blogging about for some time.
In these days of cloud computing, Google applications and windows live mesh we really do have to consider whether the UK is fit to to call its self a first world country or are we failing our citizens/subjects and falling behind the rest of the world in such a way will we ever be able to compete on a level playing field.
